Actual Cafe – Oakland, CA

Actual Cafe is a new addition to Oakland, located at the corner of Alcatraz and San Pablo.  One step inside this cafe and you get the feeling that you are welcome – whether you entered on two feet, two wheels or one wheel.  The bike-friendly nature of Actual is impressive – with an awesome back wall dedicated to hanging bike storage, and a tire pump near by.  First and foremost, Actual Cafe is dedicated to Oakland’s local community, and works hard to support it from the food and coffee it carries to the art and events is supports.  Their website explains their commitment to community, and how “interactions” are at the heart of building it.   “Actual Cafe is, first and foremost, a place where these interactions can happen. A comfortable place. A place to meet old friends and new. To talk to neighbors.
